2013 Corvette Reaches Jaw-Dropping Price at Auction

Just recently, a bidder spent a hefty sum of $600,000 on Chevy's a new Corvette. You might be asking why someone would pay that much and what it is that makes the new Corvette worth that much but Rosner Chevrolet in Melbourne, FL, is here to fully admit that it isn't!

While the new 2013 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible is a supermodel of a vehicle boasting a six-speed manual transmission, 7.0-liter LS7 engine and 505 ponies of power with 470 lb.-ft. of torque, it wasn't the only attribute which inspired one bidder  at the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction to top the bid off at $600,000

Of course it wasn't only the vehicle features that sold the bidder at the jaw dropping price, all the proceeds from the auction were tied directly to AARP's Drive to End Hunger. Chevrolet teamed up with Hendrick Motor Sports and four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion, Jeff Gordon in order to further endorse the charity.

While the first 2013 Corvette went for sale at $600,000 you can rest assured that if you're interested  in the newest Corvette you won't be spending that much. However, Chevrolet does caution drivers because they are only planning to produce the new Corvettes for a nine month period before moving onto the next generation, 2014 Corvettes.

To find out more about Chevy's latest advancements and new 2011, 2012 or even 2013 cars by Chevrolet, stay tuned because RosnerChevrolet in Melbourne, FL is dedicated to keeping you informed.
